Otus (Owlboy) built papercraft

Another one of my built papercrafts I can show you is "Otus" from the super cute and cool game "Owlboy"! :) A must-play game if you ask me, so play it :D

Nelly the Owl
The papercraft itself is about 25cm tall. He has a 3D body, with a 2D 2-sided cape, 2D 2-sided yellow fillers, and his 3D gem on his chest.

As with any papercraft, I started with the head. I made the nose and made the whole face first. After that I made the hair. Since it has many spikes and all, it's a bit fiddly to make, since you have to really look on how you have to bend the paper to make it glue together. That took some time. So I was really happy to finish that after a while, since it's more fiddly than the hands. Anyway, as I finished the hair, I glued that on the face, and finished all of the head till the white neck part. So the first step was finished.

Now since Otus has a 2D 2-sided cape that can be attached at his neck part, I had to make the cape next. So you just glued that together with the parts, and glued the one part that has flaps on his neck. So I has his head and cape. After I had that, I decided to make the body part in 2 parts, the upper torso and the legs, since I wanted to make it easier for me to glue the torso really tight together at the neck part with the cape. Therefore I made both hands and arms first (and these hands are pretty simple, compared to others, since the fingers are just normal 4-sided cuboids). After I had the hands I made the upper torso part and glued it together, so I had the hole for the neck and the hole at the bottom where the legs are made, to make it easier to glue on the head. So, I glued that easy as pie thanks to the bottom hole on the head and cape and 2/3 of the craft were finished.

All that was left were the legs. I made those attaching each part of them on the already built parts, since I wanted it to hold together really tight at the hips as well. It's a bit fiddly because of the cape part, but it's duable. If you want, you can also sepparately make the head and body part and then glue them together with the cape, as you prefer. But, as said, I decided to make it on the arm part, and as you finish at the feet, you can close them at the soles, like I normally do. And there you go! All that was left was to glue the 2D 2-sided accessories on him, such as the yellow fillers, the "moustaches" and his 3D gem (which is just a easy cube craft). And there you go, a finished Owlboy all for yourself :)

Darkrai (Pokemon) papercraft commission

Time for another papercraft commission I did a while back and I can show you all :) For this one, I made the legendary Pokemon Darkrai, with included stand and all.

Pokemon - Darkrai 6
The papercraft is 16 pages long and 30 cm big, including the stand. It consits of a 3D Darkrai, which is based off the original Pokemon from the game "Sun & Moon", and has the normal as well as the shiny texture of it's body. And since Darkrai floats all the time and the commissioner didn't want it to have legs, I made a special 3D stand, that you can put him on and display it like that. The black stand is based off his dark aura attack, and also has 3 waves of his attack aura, that are just glued on the black stand collumn and are basic 2D 2-sided forms.

All in all it's a pretty detailed Pokemon papercraft, some smaller parts are included, but for all the pain in making it, it look so much better and original at the end of it all XD so it's worth it, if you ask me, that's why I wanted to keep as much of the introcate small details of it's form as much as I could, without making it too unnecesairily complicated to glue together.

I do hope you like it, and I hope even more that the commissioner will make it soon, so I can share the finished pictures of the craft with all of you :)

Happy crafting~

Hilda and Twig built papercraft

It's advent time people, since it's December as of yesterday :D well at least the chocolate advent thingys can get slowly eaten now, since I love them so much :D I always buy myself one every year to get hyped for Christmas....... ANYWAY, since it's the beginning of a new month, I decided to start it with some of my new built papercrafts, that you maybe seen in the preview for my "Antyyy's Papercraft borthday celebration thing", or maybe you didn't :D No matter what, I wanted to finally release those too, so here you are, one of the cutest cartoons I have watched this year, my very own "Hilda & Twig" built papercraft from the books, comics and lastly Netflix series "Hilda"!

Hilda Icon
The papercraft template consists of 2 different crafts, so I decided to make Hilda first, since she is a bit trickyer to make, with all of the fingers, and the slender legs etc. I made her black beret hat first, since it's just a 3D accessory, which is then just pun or her (or you can glue it on her head if you want). I then proceeeded to make her 3D hair and then the head to her neck part. Then I added the 2D 2-sided hair parts for a better view of it all. Next I made her small fingers (which are still btw easier to make than most humanoid papercrafts, since they are just blocks to put thogether) and made my way to make her upper torso and her dress. After I had this, I put together the head part and the torso part. And at the end of that, I glued and built the yellow scarf around her neck, since you can't put it on in any other phase of the built. You can make your life simple, by building the 2 horizontal parts of the scarf together, and just at the last step, when you have to glue it together vertically so it holds, you put it around the neck and glue it on Hilda herself. And after that you put the 2D 2-sided scarf part that is hanging from the scarf neck part on, so it looks nice and smooth :)

Then, as I said many times in my papercraft builds, since she has a dress and it is 2-sided, you can make the feet sepparate and just glue them on last at the hips, to make the build nice and simple, and that's just what I did here. I built the leg part sepparately, and filled the big red boots of hers with sand (which I always like to use in crafts, since it's so handy to use for me and fills out the whole inside part in a jiffy, so you should try it to if you have a craft that you need to fill out so it can stand better). After I got the leg part done, I just glued it together with the upper part of her already built body, at her hips, and tadaa, she was finished and standing like she should :D

Next, I made Twig, since they are a double package deal. So I made him from top to bottom, which I always prefer to do, since closing at the bottom or back parts it always more handy, since you normally don't see it when you put a papercraft to be displayed somewhere, so it's the best sollution for it, just in case you jack-up a line or 2 XD you never know. Anway, I made the ears and then connected them to the snout and the rest of the head. After I had the head, I glued the 2-sided 2D antlers on the head (I made 2 small incisions with a exacto knife, where I wanted the antlers to be, so I could put a small portion of them in the holes and flip them over from the inside, so I could glue them on the head from the inside - it looks way better and you don't have the folded line of the anters showing out of the surface, which makes it more neat and pretty to look at). After I made all 4 legs of his separately, I slowly connected one after another on the head and torso, first the front legs, then the back legs. After I almost had the torso part with the head finished, I made the tail (I never close crafts at the tail part, since in my experinece it never looks good, so I always close a craft at the bottom, if I can). After I made the tail, I had to glue that on the torso of the deerfox, which is also a bit fiddly, since it's smaller than Hilda. And aftert that was done, all that was left to do was to glue the bottom part at the tail together, and it was finished.

Of course, I was so brave and wise to not fill the deerfox with sand, like I did with Hilda, because I was 100% sure it would be able to stand on 3 legs. BUT I WAS WRONG XD So I try to fill in the 3 standing legs of the craft yourself, because he tipps over at the front part, since the head is so big. So I had to put a small rock under his lifted hoove for it to stand, but it still looks original and cute XD

Catra (She-Ra - Princess of Power) papercraft

The second main character I wanted to do for the celebration of the 4. season of "She-Ra and the Princess of Paower" and, hopefully, season 5 coming soon, I made her former best friend and biggest enemy at the same time, "Catra".

Since I saw the new season, I made Catra in the form of how she looks now, more brown-up and with a different look. The papercraft is 24 cm tall, so she is the same height as She-Ra, so they go together as a pair :) She was made in a kind of defiant rebel pose that she always has, so I think it looks natural to her character. On her 5 pages template you got her 3D body, with 3D hair and 3D tail, as well as some of her 2D, 2-sided accessories, such as the face mask, so it looks nice and fairly easy to make. As with She-Ra, she has 3D fingers, so those are a bit of a drag to make, as with all of the human crafts, but the end result looks amazing :D

I really hope you like her and I do hope I got some of you new watchers excited for giving this cartoon a try :) and making you She-Ra fans as well XD

She-Ra (She-Ra - Princess of Power) papercraft

To celebrate the new season 4 of "She-Ra and the Princess of Paower" and, hopefully, season 5 coming soon, I wanted to do a small tribute of the new cartoon that I loved watching and still am XD So, I had to do the main 2 characters of the show. And today I present you the one and only, thankfully re-made from the 70's look, She-Ra!

Sparkle Emoji Sparkle Emoji Sparkle Emoji Sparkle Emoji Sparkle Emoji
The papercraft is about 35cm tall, so the girl herself is about 24 cm tall. She is in her standard transformation pose, which I find the coolest. With her 3D sword proudly held in the air she really exuberates a kind of strong and proud aura, that’s why I love the new series. Also, the clothes and the overall look is sooo muuuchhh better than the old She-Ra and He-Man thing, which I really hated and never watched. She has a 3D body with 3D hair, a 3D sword and her accessories and mics in 2D 2-sided, so the overall look is amazing from any angle. Again, the fiddly parts being the 5 fingers she has, maybe the sword, although it is pretty simply modeled together, else it’s fairly easy to make for a human papercraft.

I really hope you like her; the second character will also be released soon so you’ll have both for comparison :)

Ultimate Madoka (Madoka Magica) FREE papercraft

May I present to you the probably most beautiful papercraft I have done this year: "Ultimate Madoka" or some call her "Goddess Madoka", the main character from the anime "Madoka Magica"! I have wanted to do this for of her forEVER but as always, the day has 24 hours, yada yada XD no time. BUT I had to do her at some point and modeling her 2 months back, I couldn't wait to release her! Just look at this beauty, what do you guys think of her?

Madoka's Soul Gem

The papercraft unfold itself is 39 cm tall all in all, so I would say Madoka herself is about 20 cm fron feet till head, not counting in the wings. She has a 3D body with 3D hair and a big 3D skirt. She also has 3D bows in her hair, so all you do is build them and glue them on her already built hair, nice and simple, and at the end it looks amazing. The hair being all 3D is probably the fiddliest part to make, but adds so much at the end with the look, it really pays off making it.

Her wings on the back as well as on the feet are 2D, since I wanted them to be simple, yet effective. So all you got to do is glue them together on the flower wire I use, as said numerous times in my builds, since it does so much for the papercrafts and makes the parts movable, and glue them on the feet and back, and you have yourself a winged Ultimate Madoka :)

All of the main parts also have 2-sided parts (like the sleeves, the ribbons on her dress, etc.) so it really gives off a stong visual effect no matter from which angle you look at her. She has to be a beauty through and through.

Another feature is the stand. Although I have made the papercraft model to be floating in the air with wire or rope (and I really do suggest you do it that way for the effect), you can also put her on the 3D stand. Her back part of the dress as well as her feet are tucked in the stand, so she can be put on there and you got her beautifully accessorising your display in any room you want :D

***This is a FREE papercraft that you can download for free on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/antyyyspapercrafts.

If you assemble any of them, please share the finished papercraft pictures in a post, a shared link, a tag to my page, or send pictures to me, so I can post them on my page. I am always happy to see anybody assembling my art ***

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Beastars (Legosi and Haru) papercraft

Time for a new anime papercraft I wanted to share with all of you. The new season in October really has some special new anime, and one that really stands out for me is the anime called “Beastars”, which is about a social life/school life drama, where humanoid animals rule and inhabit the world. The main character of the anime is “Legosi” or “Legoshi”, a really big wolf, that is sort of a real softy, and a bunny called “Haru” or “Hal”, that is a social outcast and everybody talks bad about her. What I like the most about the anime is that although it is a school life anime, it gets really dark all of a sudden, and then again cheerful, so I would say it’s more of an adult anime thing. So, I definitely suggest you watch it, if you don’t know it yet, because it’s really something else ;)

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 36 cm, so Legosi is 36 cm tall and Haru is about 25 cm-ish, since in the anime Haru, being a bunny, is waaaay smaller than Legosi, a wolf, duhhh :D Legosi has 8 pages to print, Haru has 5 pages to print. Both are sold together, so it’s a group papercraft, where you get both of them. Legosi and Haru both have some 2-sided pieces, the skirt of Haru being the biggest, so it has nice colors from all sides, no matter where you look from.

Hope you like it and you will get around watching the anime ;) Happy crafting~

White Diamond (Steven Universe) papercraft

Last of my Steven Universe papercraft project people, get ready, its' the one and only, her Radiance herself, White Diamond! I was really surprised when I saw her, revealing her only in the last season really, and in the movie, so I am loking forward to the new season on how she is. I certanly remember how I felt when I fist saw her, so huge and so mighty, I was really scared of her, and those empty, white eyes she had XD super scary. But thanks to Steven she is on the right side now and it's gonna stay that way, I am sure :)

Steven Universe Icon 1/2Steven Universe Icon 2/2
The papercraft itself is 40 cm tall, since I wanted all of them to work in a bundle, so I unfolded them to a relative height so they are as big or small as in the cartoon/movie. Since she is the highest Diamond, she should the biggest of them all, therefore I chose to unfold them to a relative height. She should be really huge, but to make her fit into all of the other Steven Universe papercrafts, I made her as tall as the other 2 Diamonds, Blue and Yellow. She has a whooping 16 pages, since most of the pages are her flowing gowns and dress. She has a 3D body, 3D hair and 2-sided flowing gowns. I did her cape 2D and 2-sided as well, making both sides the same, so if you would like the cape to be white at the back, just leave out 1 side or turn the page over, since people print on white paper anyway XD super easy.

I hope you liked my special Steven Universe project, wanted to make sure all of them are neatly done and correct in regards of the movie, since I love the series myself so much. For any feedback of any kind is really appreciated and I do hope you write a thing or 2 below, for any of my papercraft designs that is :)

Pink Diamond (Steven Universe) papercraft

Last 2 on the home stretch people, and my big Steven Universe papercraft project will be over. So, let's reveal today the ah-so-mysterious Pink Diamond! She is a character that you just always want to know more about in the cartoon and sometimes it got so frustrating for me not knowing what's going on with her XD But all was revealed, some traumas here and there, and we get that her alter ego was Rose Quartzs and that she is the mom of our beloved Steven :) She is just somebody to really stir up things in a literal sense, but love her for her unique character at the end.

The papercraft itself is 36 cm tall, since I wanted all of them to work in a bundle, so I unfolded them to a relative height so they are as big or small as in the cartoon/movie. Since they are Diamonds, they should be bigger, but as you can see in the cartoon, they are really big and therefore I chose to unfold them to a relative height. Also Pink is the child of the Diamond bunch, so she is 4cm smaller than the other Diamonds, but still bigger than any of the Gems :) She has a 3D body, 3D hair and a template with 8 different printable pages for you to make her. Again she has 5 fingers to make, else it's easy-peasy crafting fun ;)

Only 1 character to reveal as last, but just WHOOO COULD IT BE? XD Jokes aside, I really do hope you like them, nearly finished here with the papercrafts. For any feedback of any kind is really appreciated and I do hope you write a thing or 2 below, for any of my papercraft designs that is ;)

Yellow Diamond (Steven Universe) papercraft

Next of the great Diamonds that were revealed in the cartoon, and is going to be revealed with my papercraft project, is the one and only Yellow Diamond! She is really something, and probably totally different than Blue XD She is feisty and more like a war-goddess than anything else :D but I love the look and my fav color is yellow, so... ;D what else can I say.

Steven Universe Icon 1/2 Steven Universe Icon 2/2
The papercraft itself is 40 cm tall, since I wanted all of them to work in a bundle, so I unfolded them to a relative height so they are as big or small as in the cartoon/movie. Since they are Diamonds, they should be bigger, but as you can see in the cartoon, they are really big and therefore I chose to unfold them to a relative height. They are still the biggest of the bunch, as they should be, and they fit in whit the others quite well. The template has 9 pages to print and she has a 3D body with 3D hair. She also has a 2-sided skirt aroud her waist, since as said, for all of them I chose the new designs from the movie and the season 6 review to come. As the other Diamonds, she has a 3D diamond embeded in her body, so it stands out a bit more when built.
