Filo - bird (Tate no Yuusha) built papercraft

Finally, I was able to make another one of my papercraft designs, so I present you my Filo papercraft in all its glory.

The papercraft is actually not hard to make, it just takes time. Since I wanted it to be super fluffy, just like bird Filo in the anime, I added a lot of 2D feathers that you glue in between the seams of the body, so that takes time. Else it’s rather simple to make.

I actually fist made the “fillers” or the long hair feathers on her head, since I wanted them to be special and movable. Here we use the first “SUPER ULTRA ASSEMBLY TIP”. I therefore used my wire trick, gluing wire that is used in most flower shops to wire flowers so they can stand and grow on supporting sticks, and glued it in between both sides of the fillers. With the wire inside and invisible, the fillers can now be moved in every direction, just like the wire, and you get a movable and interactive part of your papercraft. Else, the fillers would probably not stand so high, so it’s a simple yet super effective move to use when making it, so definitely recommending it.

After the fillers are done, some wire is still sticking out at the end part of the fillers, which is used to make a hole in the head (that I assembled next, along with the neck part – the collar) and then gluing them on the inside of the head, so they hold on the part they should. I used duct tape to glue them on the inside, so it really holds firmly, so I also suggest you do that for your assembly.

The head was finished at that stage, so I made my way to make another bothersome part of the body, which are the feet. Why? Because you got 4 of the same toes on every foot that you have to glue together, so making feet/hands is always the most annoying and boring part of the assembly to make, so I like to get rid of that as soon as possible, so I made those next.

After I had both feet made to the ankles, you actually have a really simple and fun build left. You build the body around the feet, starting at the tail part. And since the papercraft has a hole in the tail part, and you can attach the head at the end, you always have 2 holes/exists to help yourself with the assembly, so that’s really nice for a change, since I’m always used to make fiddly sticking parts together with no space XD

Now you have the body part and the head part assembled. Now it’s time for my “SUPER ULTRA ASSEMBLY TIP” nr. 2 for this craft! What is it? Well, if you maybe looked closely at the papercraft, the head is actually movable, did you see that? Well yes, THE HEAD CAN ROTATE. How? Super simple. You just print out the blue-collar piece (1 piece) 2x and glue one on the still separately built head and one on the still separately built body. After you have 2 collars on the parts, simply put the head collar over the body collar part, and it holds together! As simple as that. The seams are not visible, it looks built, and you have a super neat trick to make the head rotate in all directions. And both pieces fit like a glove, since it’s the same part of the papercraft and it doesn’t slip off.

I actually wanted to write the moving tricks down when I released the template for the papercraft, but I wanted to be 100% that the head can be rotated and build it myself, and now you know! It works really great :)

I hope you like the fluffball and happy crafting~

Shuichi Kagaya (Gleipnir) papercraft

Decided to do the new “Gleipnir” anime main character called “Shuichi Kagaya”, because I do find it interesting, although it’s very oversexualized, but I’m still interested in the plot and what it’s all about. Actually, never saw a concept of an anime like that, so I was immediately intrigued with the mascot monster form he transforms into and I wanted to make it into a papercraft, so here it is :)

Moja Moja emoticon 1P
The papercraft is unfolded to 30 cm and has 9 pages to print. It’s made out of a 3D model, so it’s simple to make. And it also has some extra 2D add-ons to make it more interesting and life-like such as the suspenders or whatever you call ‘em, his cute cowboy smiling star, the zipper at the back, etc. And he also has to have his gun holster (in 3D – a simple box form that is just glued on the body), because it just fits on him, although I don’t make guns at all, but in this case at least the holster, since it’s part of the character/monster concept, I guess.

The pose is simple and it shouldn’t be hard to assemble as well. It should stand with no problems at all, since both feet are on the ground and the polygons are also reduced by a fail amount. Needless to say, the model, pose and texture were all made by me, character is from the anime, as said.

I hope you’re watching the anime and you’ll give it a go, and I also hope you like the papercraft as well. Till then and happy crafting~

Arte (Arte) papercraft

Saw this wonderful new anime that started this spring season and I am hooked on it. Since I am a women’s rights supporter, artist and a woman myself, I find these kinds of anime refreshing and they depict the struggle women had to go through to get their place in working society and still go through to this day. So I am fully supporting this cute anime, although it is set in a somewhat fictional Florence alongside Leonardo da Vinci, with not so historically-accurate facts, it can still teach a lot of people, men and women alike, how they should strive and put their own effort into things that they want to do for a living and never give up no matter what people tell you!

little star little star little star little star little star little star
The main character is a young artist called “Arte”, from the Italian word arte for “art”, that wants to strive to become the first woman in her time to be able to live off art and pursue it as a professional living and passion. She is giving it all her effort and all her energy into learning art, no matter what people tell her, if they spit in her face or tell her she can’t do it, SHE MAKES IT ANYWAY. And that is what I find inspirational, especially for our times when things are getting hard for us as well.

The papercraft is unfolded to 26 cm, since I wanted to make her bigger and grander, and has 7 pages to print. It is made out of a separate 3D Arte model, with some 2D add-ons (such as the dress, belt, drawings…), as well as 2 separate 3D paintbrushes that she holds in her left hand. Except for the 3 drawings that were edited out of the manga, everything is made by me, model, texture, pose and unfold, the character belonging to the company releasing the anime and manga.

She has 2 feet under the skirt, don’t know if you can see it on the pictures, so she stands just fine. And of course, the model is based off my girl model base, which means she is simple to make. The hair at the back has a hole in the head (which you cannot see when built), so you can help yourself making the head and glue it together super easy. The brushes, since they are smaller and 3D, as well as the fingers are the fiddly parts to assemble, else it’s average difficulty to make.

I hope you’re watching the anime and you’ll give it a go, and I also hope you like the papercraft as well. Till then and happy crafting~

Malachite (Steven Universe) commission

And yet another Steven Universe papercraft, and the gem fusion called Malachite. This she also only appeared in 1 episode, where Lapis then gained control over it etc.

As already said with this huge Steven Universe papercraft commission I am making, the papercraft is unfolded to 1 meter height, that's why the unfold looks as it does, since the commissioner will make them in a pretty big scale, so hopefully we get to see the pictures of these assembled soon.

All these are modeled, posed and textured by me, just saying it again, because I do all my stuff based on my own models and work. The model is all in 3D, same goes with the gem as her nose.

All that hands will be a pain to make, damn it’s like my worst nightmare papercraft to make, since I hate doing fingers so much XDDD I shudder just at the thought of having to do all those fingers XD NEVER! Good luck commissioner! XD I won’t be doing that.

Alexandrite (Steven Universe) commission

Another Steven Universe papercraft, and the gem fusion called Alexandrite. She is the fusion of all 3 main Crystal gems and looks pretty cool.

The model is all in 3D, same goes with the gem on her face, with separate 2D glasses, that will hopefully be cut out with orange colored foil, so it looks even cooler and more realistic.

Lady Hayakawa (Samurai Warriors) FREE papercraft

Another FREE papercraft to download, thanks to the generous commissioner who wanted to share the papercraft for free with all of you, so you can now download it, if you would like to build it.

The papercraft is from the character Lady Hayakawa, from the cool game Samurai Warriors. Spent a lot of hours myself unlocking all the characters in the game, and I really love it :D each of them in unique and you can also study Japanese history and war strategies in a fun non-boring way.

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 28 cm tall and has 12 pages to print. She is posed as the reference picture you can see and has all the add-ons as well. The papercraft template uncludes a sepparate 3D model of Kayakawa (with some 2D add-ons to liven up the craft: hair strains, ribbons, scarfs...), her 3D rod (with 2D add-ons), and her 3D stand. Should be able to stand on her feet, but I would fill them nob-the-less, since she could be top-heavy and tip over because of the high-heel shoes.

Pikachu (Simple Version) built papercraft

Presenting you my “Super simple papercrafts” version of Pikachu, modeled/textured/posed/unfolded and assembled by me.

It's a really fun papercraft, since you have to many extras to choose from and dress it up as you go along. The main Pikachu papercraft is simple and fast to make, probably took me 1,5 hour to make, including cutting out all the pieces). It is made out of a boxy 3D body, with sepparate 2 3D ears, arms and legs.

All of the sepparate pieces are made and glued together in simple box-like shapes and then glued on to the main body, again in a more boxy design. So first I made the ears, then the hands and feet, and then I made the main body. After you have all those sepparate 3D pieces, you just glue them on the right position, and you have yourself a simple Pikachu design that you can play with and dress up as you want.

The add-ons are also very easy to make, you can choose any of the hats you want, or just give it other things to hold or to dress-up with and just have a go with it. The hats are also a simple design, so if you put together one, you'll see that they are also fast and simple to make.

For info on the template, you can see it in this post:

I hope you like it and happy crafting~ or as Pikachu would say *Pika Pikachuuu~*

Pikachu (Simple Version) papercraft

Time for another “Super simple papercrafts” post, and what else could it be than a Pikachu?! XD Of course I had to make a Pikachu version, because, well, first it's my trademark, then it's also in my business logo and I love Pikachu out of all over 800 existing Pokemon the most, not to mention that I am a Pikachu horder of all stuff Pikachu in real life as well XD so it had to happen sooner or later.

The papercraft you can see above is unfolded to about 13 cm height for the Pikachu, and has A LOT of misc and add-ons you can use to presonalise your own Pikachu assembly. The craft has a 3D Pikachu, 6 different Ash hats from various anime seasons and regions, 1 Detective Pikachu hat, 2 sets of different 3D ears that you can give it (on version if you want it to have a hat and one hatless version), 2 different 2D tails (female or male), as well as 3 simple 2D add-ons for its neck or anywhere else really, as you wish.

As you can see, the papercraft Pikachu is very simply made, because it is made for the simple version series. It has a 3D body, with sepparate 2 3D ears, arms and legs. All of the sepparate pieces are made and glued together in simple box-like shapes and then glued on to the main body, again in a more boxy design. Like that you can make yourself a simple Pikachu version super fast and super easy, anybody can make it. It's really fast and uncomplicated to make, and it makes super fun to dress it up as you wish :) The hats are simple 3D models, made out of 4 different pieces you glue together, and since they are only one-sided and hollow, are also very fast to make. Same goes with the other add-ons, that are mostly 2D, so you can just have fun with it and don't think about how to put it together, since it's really easy.

For a special suprise, of course, I had to make and assemble it myself, because I wanted to try it out myself, so here you can see how the different pieces and the Pikachu I made look like when built:

I hope you like it and happy crafting~

Jigoku Shoujo (Enma Ai) built papercraft

Here it is! My gorgeous (if I may say so myself, because I really love this one) Enma Ai papercraft, designed and assembled by me.

She is 27 cm tall and appart from the straw-doll average difficulty to assemble. Since she has a hole in her head to make the build simple (and you can't see the hole, since it's covered by the hair in the back), it's really fun to make her, since you don't have to worry on how to close the head together or how to make the hair styled and not croocked, since it's simple this way.

So first I did her head, adding the 2D hair parts at the end, when I put the head together with the neck. I then made the 2 hands (since you know I hate to make hands because of all the fingers, but it's a necessity if you want the craft to look amazing and life-like or anime-like at the end), since I make all fiddly and tidious parts first, and all the way to the hands. Then I joined the arms with the upper torso and glue the head on. Since she has a 2D add-on collar, it's simple to make the parts appart and then glue them together, because I find this process to be simpler to follow than jus stacking piece on piece on a craft.

Then again, you have a 2D, 2-sided skirt to make, which you can also make sepparately to glue together with the upper torso at the end, and the legs part. Love skirts, since it's so simple to put the pieces together sepparately again, because the skirt allows you to make the legs with a open hole all the time, making room for fingers and gluing, and allowing you to glue them together at the end. All you have to do now is to join the skirt on the torso and then the legs on the skirt, and Enma Ai is finsihed.

All that was left was the straw-doll in her hand, since it is made out of simple 4-sided cubic shapes, but still fiddly since the pieces are smaller, so that's the tricky part to make. But you can always leave it out, if you don't want to make it, or give her anything else to hold in her hand. BUT if you do make the straw-doll, the doll should be able to stand in the hand as is, without glue, as you also see in the pictures, since it leans on her thumb and it holds it like that just fine.

You can find info on how to get the papercraft and everything else here:

I hope you like the build and that you make some papercrafts yourself and make pictures of them :) It's always nicer to see papercrafts with actually build papercraft models than just screenshot references, but you have to take time to make them the right way. In any case, enjoy and happy crafting~

Jigoku Shoujo (Enma Ai) papercraft

Since it's Monday, I wanted to start with something epic-like to hopefully make you all excited for the start of the week. I actually don't know why I didn't think of making this papercraft before, since I loved the anime so much (older anime with quite a few seasons and extras), but I guess it was time and work related. In any case, I am super proud of this papercaft and everybody should watch the anime, if you don't know it yet. I present you "Enma Ai" from the epic anime "Jikogu Shoujo"!

The papercraft is unfolded to 27 cm and has 9 pages to print. Wanted to make it a bit bigger, so it was easier to assemble. This is 100% made by me, just saying, model, pose, texture, all mine, except of the character concept, of course, since it's from the anime. I decided to make her in the typical school girl uniform, since I think it's the creepiest thing of all XD, since it's more out of a Japanese horror movie, such as Grudge etc. Those who know the anime, know it's very dark and has hard and unforgiving themes as it's base, such as social conflict and human hatred, violece, abuse etc., so of course Enma Ai (which is the name of the Hell ruler in Japanese folklore btw) has to be dark and creepy herself, since she does drag people to hell and eternal damnation XD for those who believe such things...

In any case, the craft itself is made out of a 3D model, which has some 2D attachments to make her more interesting, and of course the sepparate staw-doll to curse people, with the typical red string attached, also in 3D, which she can actually hold in her hand without gluing it on (if you assemble it right).

Pixel Flower Divider - Red hell girl gif Pixel Flower Divider - Red
Of course, I would not be showing you this epic papercraft and character if I didn't test and make her myself, so you are able to see the built papercraft, made by me, here:

As said with my Neko Musume papercraft, this is the anime base I will probably be unsing for future girl/boy papercrafts, since it's simple yet detailed enough to make the craft stand out, simply perfect for anything. She has an open head at the back (in her hair), which you cannot see in the built papercraft (as you can see in the link), that makes the built really easy to make, and still looking amazing and fresh, so I love this base model papercraft.

***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

I hope you like her as much as I do and you take a look at the picture of her being assembled by me and how she looks made, and it gives you an idea or 2 on what you would like to make and assemble with your papercraft art. Happy crafting~
