Arte (Arte) papercraft

Saw this wonderful new anime that started this spring season and I am hooked on it. Since I am a women’s rights supporter, artist and a woman myself, I find these kinds of anime refreshing and they depict the struggle women had to go through to get their place in working society and still go through to this day. So I am fully supporting this cute anime, although it is set in a somewhat fictional Florence alongside Leonardo da Vinci, with not so historically-accurate facts, it can still teach a lot of people, men and women alike, how they should strive and put their own effort into things that they want to do for a living and never give up no matter what people tell you!

The main character is a young artist called “Arte”, from the Italian word arte for “art”, that wants to strive to become the first woman in her time to be able to live off art and pursue it as a professional living and passion. She is giving it all her effort and all her energy into learning art, no matter what people tell her, if they spit in her face or tell her she can’t do it, SHE MAKES IT ANYWAY. And that is what I find inspirational, especially for our times when things are getting hard for us as well.

The papercraft is unfolded to 26 cm, since I wanted to make her bigger and grander, and has 7 pages to print. It is made out of a separate 3D Arte model, with some 2D add-ons (such as the dress, belt, drawings…), as well as 2 separate 3D paintbrushes that she holds in her left hand. Except for the 3 drawings that were edited out of the manga, everything is made by me, model, texture, pose and unfold, the character belonging to the company releasing the anime and manga.

She has 2 feet under the skirt, don’t know if you can see it on the pictures, so she stands just fine. And of course, the model is based off my girl model base, which means she is simple to make. The hair at the back has a hole in the head (which you cannot see when built), so you can help yourself making the head and glue it together super easy. The brushes, since they are smaller and 3D, as well as the fingers are the fiddly parts to assemble, else it’s average difficulty to make.

***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

I hope you’re watching the anime and you’ll give it a go, and I also hope you like the papercraft as well. Till then and happy crafting~
