Darumaka Poke ball (Pokemon) papercraft

Decided to do a whole bunch of different life-size box Poke ball designs and I made a LOT, since I had so much fun making them XD so from now on, you’ll get to probably see at least 1-2 Poke ball papercrafts posted on my site for a long, long time.

They range from the normal in-game designs, to exclusive Pokemon designs I made up as OC’s. They are all relative in height, about 11 cm (not including the stand and the ears and accessories, if they have any), so they all fit together as a bunch. I made them as life-size Pokemon-themed boxes, since they can open and close like a box with a lid and they all have optional double-sided print pages for a colored inner side, so the box looks neater when built. The 2 buttons in the front are separate 3D parts glued on the front. They also all have optional stands, so you can place them inside and they don’t roll away.

*Note that all of them are more challenging to make, are more detailed and have smaller or thinner parts, so I do not recommend any of them to beginners. I think these are best suited for intermediate and experienced papercrafters, but who am I to say what you can and cannot do (;

**************

This is the OC Darumaka Poke ball design papercraft box. It is unfolded to 21 cm (14 cm of the actual Poke ball height) and has 4 pages to print out (all 4 of them being double-sided).

The preview picture shows the unfolded Poke ball template that stands apart a bit, so it is easier to assemble with the inner part shown, but you can also see the closed preview and how it looks, just so you know how it looks closed.

Akane (Ranma 1/2) papercraft

As you maybe remember, I already did some older Ranma½ papercrafts in reference of the old 1989 anime. You can see the old designs I made in a preview here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Ranma-1-2-papercraft-remakes-1146197007

And since the new remake anime came out, I decided to also remake my old papercrafts of the main characters in their glorious, fresh new looks!

***************

This is my new Akane papercraft from the anime Ranma½.

The papercraft is unfolded to 24 cm and has 4 pages to print out. The papercraft consists of a 3D model of Akane, optional 3D and 2D hand versions and her simple 3D school bag.

The papercraft stands on 2 feet, but it would be better to additionally reinforce the legs when assembled, so it can’t tip over that easily.

Sylveon Angewomon (Fakemon) papercraft

Saw a lot of hybrid crossover Fakemon online lately, and as I was scrolling, I got the idea to make a Pokemon x Digimon hybrid monster out of Sylveon and Angewomon, some of the most popular mons out of the 2 franchises. And here is the result :3

**************

I really didn’t give it a name, since it’s a hybrid monster, so I just called it Sylveon Angewomon Fakemon. Basically, you have a base 3D model of Sylveon and then add-on details of Angewomon.

The whole papercraft is unfolded to 26 cm (since it is taller because of the ears, so the main body would be about 20 cm) and has 9 pages to print out. It consists of a 3D joined model of Sylveon and then you have various Angewomon add-ons: the 2D 2-sided hair, 5 pairs of 2D 2-sided wings, the 2D 2-sided pink scarf, the 2D 2-sided bow and helmet puffs, the 2D breastplate, and 4 2D chains.

The pink floating scarf is best made with a wire inside it, so it can stand upright and doesn’t fall over. Same goes with the wings. Else, the whole papercraft figure should stand without weights inside, but you can always add those in the legs when you close it, just to be sure.

Ranma 1/2 papercraft remakes

The new Ranma½ was recently released and a new season 2 has been announced for the future as well. A huge hit for all the older slapstick anime fans, since the old frames and resolutions are really starting to hurt the eyes with all of the HD 16:16 screen resolution animations now being released XD

So, what better time to release a remake of my older Ranma papercrafts I have made way back in 2019! (I know, I know, I should have released these way sooner, when the anime still aired, but you know, life happens, and a day still only has 24 hours)

In the upper line you can see my old released main character from the series I made back in 2019 and that I did in reference to the original 1989 released anime. And in the lower line you can see the still hidden silhouettes of the new remake papercrafts of the same characters, but in reference of the new 2024 anime release.

***********

I normally don’t release any previews of stuff I am working on and the process, but I am really looking forward to update the old ones I did and make them really look good and on the actual high level of detail I do now with my papercrafts.

Subsequently, of course, I have removed the older designs of Ranma from my Ko-fi shop and I will only be selling the new remakes when I re-release them.

I like to show some remakes when I do get to make them, so you can really see the progress of the work and skill I put into my 3D models and unfolded papercrafts. All in the span of 5-6 years.

*********************

I wonder how the look like and if they actually look better than the old ones I did? Hmmmm, guess you’ll have to find out when I start releasing them in the coming weeks (:

Hope you look forward to the reveals of the new looks and that they will be as crisp and HD as the new anime as well.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Mouse monitor sitter built papercraft

As you maybe remember, I have made a series of »monitor sitter« animal papercrafts that are basically papercrafts you can make to put on your flatscreens and have them there for decoration or moral support, if you will:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Mouse-monitor-sitter-papercraft-967995667

They fit on any flatscreen on your PC screen, laptop, kindle, tablet, smartphone and even on vases, boxes or jars with slimmer rims, so you can decorate whatever you want with them. But basically, I made them to fit my laptop, so I could wedge them on my own PC :3

And since I have finally had the time to assemble them, here are the preview pictures on how they look like built and some tips for anybody wanting to make them for yourself.

********************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Whatever animal you assemble from this series, they are basically made the same way: built from top to bottom.

Build the ears first, then the head, attach the front paws, the body, the back legs and only after you have all of the body parts, take the inner clamp side, pre-bend it, put glue on the leftover flaps of the body, and slide & glue the clamp part inside the body and close it up that way. Lastly, you can glue on the 2D 2-sided tail.

That’s how I made all of my crafts you see and this is probably the simplest way to get this done and assembled.

***

NOTE: The preview pictures made only include 2 of the 3 colors that are included in the pack. You have the white, gray and black colors that you can choose or build all 3 of them.

Jeff the Land Shark (Marvel) papercraft

A new game called “Marvel Rivals” came on my radar, when I saw they added a fan-favorite to the rooster to play with, and it’s none other than the most adorable mascot of the Marvel universe: Jeff the Land Shark! But man, they did my cutie real dirty. I really don’t like the updated look they game him in the game :/ I loved the old look from his spin-off comics and the adorable, derpy face in the main comics when they show him, the new look is kinda too serious and “scary” looking for the cute little critter he is. I mean, yeah, he does fight and he attacks enemies and all that, but I always saw him as an adorable little airhead that was just there to be cute.

So, long story short, I decided to make the fan-favorite landshark into a papercraft with his cute old self and the old look and with some funny props from the comics as well (:

********************

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 14 cm and has 7 pages to print out (with all of the included add-ons, 4 pages for Jeff only).

The pack includes a 3D model of Jeff the Land Shark in his sitting pose, and then you have optional add-ons, such as: a 3D beachball, a simple 3D mask and tube, 3D flippers you can put on his feet, 3D water wings (in a Deadpool and Gwenpool design) that you make separately and simply glue on his front paws, a 2D collar in the new Marvel Rivals design, and 2D sunglasses. - Each of the add-ons are optional and you can decide what to add to little Jeffy or if you want to make the papercraft of just Jeff.

*Note that the papercraft does have smaller parts to make in the fins and his paws, so I do suggest that it be made by more experienced papercrafters.
