Here are my adorable little fat birds in all of their fat, cute, round glory, assembled and made in the preview :>

And now we have the assembly to go through.

            

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Best way to make any of the daruma birds is to assemble the beak first. Once you have the beak, put it aside and start making the head, from top to bottom. When you have the head fully assembled, simply put glue on the flaps of the pre-made beak and place it from the inside out of the hole.

All that is left is to make the rest of the body, again top to bottom, and at the end you can close it with the last bottom piece. After the 3D model is done, glue on the remaining 2D wings at the right angle on the right place, and the fat borb is done :)

Anybody reading my stuff for a longer time knows I am a huge bird-freak-lover. I am not a cat person, not a dog person, but a BIRD person. They are the cutest ever :) So, amongst other bird-paraphernalia, I also have these super cute daruma bird figures at home (not the one in the picture, but really similar ones). And I think they are super adorable, so I wanted them in papercraft-form as well. So here they are, made into crafts!

         

The papercraft is unfolded to 6 cm and has a page to print. It's a really simple yet cute design with some 3D parts for the body and 2D parts for the wings.

    

Aren't they just adorable? :) Just wanted to share a really simple yet cute design, because my range of papercraft designs can be really anything from simple boxy animals to complicated life-size figurines, from kawaii to really scary, spooky stuff.

Vampire Alice papercraft

Vampire Alice papercraft

A really unique open re-sellable commission of an original character (OC) we have here.

This was made as a crossover of a picture the commissioner found of the animal bat and an actual MMD model of a Vampire girl that he wanted a bit of a redesign of. He wanted me to make a Vampire girl that looked like the model and add some personal touches to it, and he let me have free range of the design and pose, and to turn it into a cutesy papercraft figure. And I really enjoyed doing this, because she looks adorable now :)

       

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 22 cm and has 8 pages to print out. It consists of an OC Vampire Alice girl I named “Vampi” as a 3D model, her little bat pet that is a simple 3D form with 2D 2-sided wings, her 2D vampire cape and some add-ons such as the bow in the back and on her hair etc.

A bit detailed to do, since the skirt has 3 layers of frilly parts that need to be pre-bent when making and smaller parts such as the fingers etc. I really hope the commissioner will make this one and show me the assembled pictures so I can share them as well.
