A new autumn season for anime is starting this October, and I browsed through it to see what interesting new series is coming out. ANDDD, I found this cute little gem XD The anime is called “Puniru wa Kawaii Slime” or “Puniru is a cute slime” and it’s about, as the title says, a cute slime named Puniru XD duhhh. She is so cute and adorable and a very popular manga in Japan, so I wanted to make the anime version of her in papercraft form.

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 19 cm and has 4 pages to print out. It consists of 3D version of Puniru with her add-on penguin purse.

The papercraft has an optional 3D or 2D versions of the hands. The legs are made separately and glued inside her sweater, so the only fiddlier parts would be the 3D hair parts in the back. The front hair as well as the 2 tails are made looking like a whole 3D cone, but it’s a half-cut (2D) cone shape to give the hair that cylindric 3D look. And it’s also simpler to make that way

*Note that I made her before the anime started to air, and I only had her character sheet as a reference, so it could be that the back side of the sweater and other details look different than in the anime version.

Now it’s time for the building process and some tips along the way.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with any of my assemblies, start from top and move to the bottom. And since she has a nice dress, you can also divide the build into separate pieces: The face and neck with the back hair, the arms with the hands, the torso with the dress and the legs.

Start by making the face part first, glue on the front bangs first and then add the back part of the hair and the neck. You can close the hair with the last bottom part with no flaps and that’s done.

Next, you can put together the 2 arms. You have the 3D as well as the 2D version of the hands to choose for these (I assembled the easier 2D version here). Put aside and assemble the upper torso part with the collar first. When you have the torso, you can glue the head with the neck and the 2 arms inside it. And once that is dried, glue on the remaining part of the dress and the necktie.

Lastly come the legs that you build from bottom to top. And before gluing on this part inside the dress, make sure to add in some weights so it stands nicely. And it’s finished.

A rather old design I made and completely forgot to post XD It was made while looking at some anime inspirations online, so I decided to make a somewhat crossover of a slime girl, Hatsune Miku and a jellyfish… well, this is what came out. A rather unique pose I wanted to try out and I think it’s rather cute-ish :)

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 24 cm and has 4 pages to print. A rather straightforward humanoid papercraft with 3D hair in the back, 2D hair in the front, as well as optional 2D or 3D hands.
