Found a cute non-existent Pokemon / Fakemon concept online somebody did, so I decided to make a simple but cute papercraft out if. The Fakemon is called Callowing and is, as the pictures shows, a cute, round yellow bird Pokemon that is adorable as hell and I want to hug it, and squeeze it, and love it for the rest of my life XD Thought it was a cute concept, so I made a 3D version out of the idea. 

          

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 17 cm and has 5 pages to print out. Really simple to make, with 2D, 2-sided wings that are simply glued on like that and small legs that should be filled out to make the craft stand at the end, since else it could tip over because of the big beak.

Everybody knows my first and foremost love in this wide world are BIRDS. Birds, especially parrots, are the pinnacle of evolutionary cuteness and elegance (nobody can change my mind on this ever), and pair that up with the color yellow, you have the non-plus-ultra-ultimate kawaii character ever XD That’s why I decided to make another Chocobo papercraft from scratch, but this time a more cartoony version of the Mystery dungeon game. Really fun game, I love dungeon games so much, Final fantasy or Pokemon ones, these are the most fun games ever, for me at least.

      

The papercraft is unfolded to a heigh of 18 cm and it has 5 pages to print out. A simple 3D model of Chocobo, with a separate 3D bag and a 2D strap.

Since I have a similar 3D model of Chocobo printed out as a 3D print, I wanted to make one with a funny, more dynamic pose, since T-posed or just flat, standing poses are super boring for any figure.

Enjoy the little yellow canary mascot XD and look up the game as well. It’s a bit older, but it’s super fun and the graphics are soooo adorable. Happy crafting~

And now I also assembled it. All that is left to do is give some basic tips on how to make the built easier if you are going to buy the template and make it yourself. Extra tips always help, even if the PDO file is provided with the purchase. You never know when you need them :D

            

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with all of my papercrafts, it’s best to divide the craft into separate parts that you build on their own and then put together. So, I advise you to build the 2 ears, the tail and the 2 front legs all separately.

Once you have the ears done, assemble the head around them and then start with the neck. *Best way to glue on the 2D 2-sided flowy fur parts is to glue them on one of the flaps first, build the parts around it and when they are joined together, glue the back part on there, so that the flaps can be covered up.

When you have the head and the belly fur assembled, get to the tail that you start building separately from the tip down. And when the tail is done, build the bottom part on there and the back legs. When the body is done, glue the pre-made front legs on and the last upper part and then simply put glue on the flaps of the body and wedge it inside the belly fur of the upper part to stick them together, and it’s done.

The papercraft stands nicely without any weights or anything really, so there is no need to reinforce any parts or put anything inside to make it stand.
