It was such a nostalgic walk back to the real OG based pixel Pokemon games I loved on the old Nintendo consoles. They even made a Pokemon tribute in the game and made an Ash character NPC named “Asheton” XDDD he was so depressed the new tech in the Coromon universe is sooo better than in Pokemon, it was so funny XD such a cute easter-egg.
Anyway, the game itself is really addictive, the Coromon monsters are all super nicely designed, loved the old pixelated vibe, and the monsters with their types and attacks are actually very balanced, compared to other ROM-hack games made from Pokemon. I really liked it and I stayed engaged right to the very end.
And because I liked it so much, I had to make a Coromon monster design in 3D that I fell in love with the moment I saw it: Toravolt
**************
The papercraft is unfolded to 16 cm and has 6 pages to print. The whole thing is basically a 3D edgy tiger craft, with 4 3D paws, a spikey 3D tail, a lot of 3D spikes and 2D 2-sided spikes in the middle.
Best way to assemble it is to make it from head to tail, as with all of my papercrafts. You can easily close it then either with the paw bottoms or at the tail.
*Note: Coromon is a pixel-based game, so the 3D interpretation of Toravolt is not 100% accurate, since I made it in a design I found cool and to give it my own personal touch, since it’s my craft.
